Could be fun, but I say stick with the original. This one lacks the punk rock feel that makes the original so good. At least judging by the trailer. I’m a bit worried about the NOTD remake stepping on Night of the Punks (NOTP is admittedly heavily influenced by the original Demons), but after seeing the trailer I’m not too worried about it.
Well, there you go. Exciting stuff.

Some hilarious parts of Return of the Living Dead. Frank has always been my favorite character in the movie. His constant whining & screaming is so great.
Went through the current script and broke down all the scenes based on length, props, FX, special camera needs, etc. Feeling semi-confident about parts of this thing, and totally lost in regards to some other elements. Time to start storyboarding, planning shots, and writing original music with Tony.
Seeing some more actors tomorrow for casting, hoping for a few great people!
BTW: The Kickstarter Project ends on November 15th. We’re only $200 from our goal. I think we’re going to make it!
First weekend of casting was kind of a mixed bag. A couple really great people, a bunch of maybes, and a decent amount of no shows. There’s a lot of possibilities, but I don’t think we’ve found everyone yet. The highlight was definitely Kyle Kinane, a really funny LA-based comedian. I’m hoping we can work our schedules out.
Murderland - Transylvanian Vacation
Murderland is an LA based horror punk band and a huge part of Night of the Punks. Their singer Mike co-wrote the film and is taking on one of the roles. We are using some of their songs in the film (this track included) and they are helping out overall with lots of areas of production. Honestly, NOTP wouldn’t be happening if not for Murderland existing and being friends of mine, so give them your support.
And hey, if you live in Los Angeles, they are playing TONIGHT at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood. I’ll be there, and their live show is always a spooky time, so if you want to hear some tunes, come check it out.
